Malaika Bridge Away Foundation works through education support, access to clean water, digital learning opportunities and youth talent development. We believe every child and young person deserves:

Clean Water Projects
We support the construction of wells and improved access to safe water. Clean water is the silent multiplier of every development goal: when a child no longer spends hours collecting water, those hours become classroom hours — and classroom hours become future.
Digital Learning Support
Computers, digital devices, learning materials and access support for schools and students. In a world where digital fluency is as essential as reading and writing, access to technology is not a luxury — it is an act of equity.
Malaika Talent Development
Through our Talent Club we nurture singing, dancing, acting, comedy, fashion and creative arts — safe spaces where young people build confidence and skills. The Talent Club is where dreams first learn to speak out loud.
Clean Water for Two Schools and a Community
A community borehole for Bumyengeja Primary & Secondary Schools and the ~450 surrounding families.
When you are thirsty, but clean water is far away
Today, students and families secure their daily water from shallow, open ponds that are highly vulnerable to contamination — or walk to sources far from home:
- The nearest water sources are 1.5–3 km away — 45 minutes to 2 hours per trip
- Households make 2–4 trips every day
- Teachers report direct impact on absenteeism, performance and school health
Our mandate is clear: replace these dangerous, provisional sources with a protected community borehole with manual or solar pumping and community distribution points, inside the school ecosystem — guaranteeing health, sanitation and a dignified future.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals — SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation) and SDG 17 (Partnerships). We also invite engineering faculties to join as academic partners in design, supervision and evaluation.
